Student Dies by Suicide at IIIT Gachibowli

Hyderabad: A 20-year-old B.Tech student died by suicide at the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Gachibowli, on Saturday.

The deceased, identified as Abhiroop, a native of Khammam, was pursuing computer science at the institute. According to initial reports, he jumped from the sixth floor of a campus building.

Police said the reasons behind the extreme step appear to be personal. A case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
