Hyderabad: Food safety teams conducted inspections at two mandi restaurants in Gachibowli on Saturday and identified multiple hygiene and food safety violations.

At Mandi King, inspectors found issues including storage of raw and cooked non-vegetarian food together, reuse of cooking oil for several days, an unclean exhaust system, and poor kitchen conditions. The reused oil was discarded on the spot and an improvement notice was issued. The outlet scored 56 out of 108 (52%) in hygiene assessment.

At Wah Mandi, officials detected stale and spoiled food items, including cooked mandi, boiled eggs and chicken wings, which were immediately discarded. Other lapses included lack of segregation between veg and non-veg items, absence of medical fitness certificates and water testing reports, and inadequate sanitation facilities. The outlet received a hygiene score of 61 out of 100 (61%).

Officials said corrective measures have been instructed as part of ongoing food safety drives in Cyberabad.
