State Plans To Auction More Land In Hyderabad
Emphasising technology-driven governance, the committee proposed a dedicated digital dashboard to monitor government lands, layout development and auction activities.
Hyderabad:The state government is gearing up for a fresh round of land auctions by the HMDA and TGIIC to mobilise additional revenue. The Cabinet sub-committee on revenue and resource mobilisation on Friday directed officials to identify suitable layouts and auction them in a phased manner.
The committee, which met at the Secretariat, asked officials to prioritise locations with good connectivity to major roads and strong development potential and prepare a clear action plan by next week. The plan should include details of available lands, layout status, plots ready for auction and the progress of preparatory works.
The committee stressed the need to fully utilise opportunities for revenue generation through government lands, industrial layouts, land pooling and auctions while ensuring transparency and efficiency.
It also reviewed the scope for mobilising revenue through utilisation and regularisation of lands in industrial layouts and old industrial estates. Officials were directed to expedite unit-wise regularisation and approval processes in Azamabad, Balanagar and Hafeezpet. Proposals concerning B-category and micro industrial units should be examined comprehensively to benefit industrial entrepreneurs while generating additional revenue for the government.
The committee also discussed land pooling, availability of land for future government requirements and mobilisation of land resources in rapidly developing areas around Hyderabad, particularly Medchal and Rangareddy districts.
Emphasising technology-driven governance, the committee proposed a dedicated digital dashboard to monitor government lands, layout development and auction activities. Officials were asked to make comprehensive information, including land details, layout status, auction-ready plots and progress of various initiatives, available on a single digital platform.
