Shamshabad: Woman Escapes Cab Driver’s Alleged Sexual Assault Attempt
The woman managed to get out of the vehicle and raised an alarm, seeking help from people nearby. The driver allegedly fled the spot with a bag belonging to the woman, which had Rs.60,000 in cash.
Hyderabad: A cab driver allegedly attempted to sexually assault a woman passenger after diverting the vehicle to an isolated area near Shamshabad in Rangareddy district.
According to reports, the woman had hired the cab and was travelling when the driver allegedly changed the route near Tondupalli Toll Plaza. He drove towards an isolated area and allegedly attempted to sexually assault her.
The woman managed to get out of the vehicle and raised an alarm, seeking help from people nearby. The driver allegedly fled the spot with a bag belonging to the woman, which had Rs.60,000 in cash.
The victim subsequently approached the police and lodged a complaint. Police have registered a case based on her complaint and launched an investigation to trace and apprehend the cab driver. Further details regarding the incident are awaited.
