Hyderabad: Police are investigating in all possible angles to ascertain the motive behind the murder of six people in Shabad, on the outskirts of Hyderabad, allegedly committed by Parvathi Raj Kumar, who is later believed to have died by suicide.

According to the reports, Raj Kumar had allegedly been harassing a minor girl for nearly a year. After learning about the allegations, his wife, Saritha, confronted him, leading to frequent quarrels between the couple. Saritha had reportedly planned to convene a meeting with the elders to resolve the issue. Fearing over the family issues, she had sent her elder son to stay with her uncle in Moinabad. However, Raj Kumar allegedly convinced her that he had changed, after which she brought the child back home.

A POCSO case was later registered against Raj Kumar at the Shabad Police Station. He subsequently obtained anticipatory bail.

After securing the bail, Raj Kumar carried out the murders. Based on a selfie video allegedly recorded by him, it is believed that he targeted the minor girl's family because he felt they had cheated him.

However, police are still trying to determine why he allegedly killed his wife and two children while sparing the minor girl's differently abled sibling.
