Hyderabad:Water board MD Ashok Reddy on Wednesday set a June 15 deadline for completion of the sewer pipeline extension work at Gurramguda during an inspection.
Reviewing the progress with officials, he directed them to expedite the work to avoid sewage problems during the monsoon. He noted that residents face difficulties in the rainy season due to the confluence of sewage from surrounding colonies.
The trunk main is being constructed to prevent sewage from flowing into the forest area from the Hastinapuram and Badangpet wards.
He also instructed officials to take up road repair works immediately after completion of the pipeline expansion and related works.
Later, he visited the Hayathnagar zonal office and advised officials to improve services, ensure better coordination, and prioritise public service delivery.
