KARIMNAGAR: Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has issued orders regularising the services of 1,135 workers employed as badli workers or general assistant trainees as general assistants.

The management issued the orders following an assurance given by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka at a recent meeting with public representatives from the coal belt areas.

The regularisation will apply to workers who joined the company on or before December 31, 2025, and are working as badli workers or general assistant trainees.

To qualify, workers must have completed at least 190 working days in underground departments or 240 working days in opencast mines or outside departments in any calendar year up to and including December 31, 2025.

The company has asked area general managers to submit lists of eligible workers by November 23. Those included in the lists will be regularised with effect from September 1, 2026.

SCCL chairman and managing director Dr Buddhaprakash Jyoti urged employees to maintain regular attendance and contribute to higher production and productivity.

He said regular attendance could lead to regularisation and promotion, while absence from duty could result in loss of employment.

The Deputy Chief Minister congratulated the workers due to be regularised. He said the government was fulfilling its assurances to Singareni employees and urged them to work with discipline and support the company's development and expansion.
