Food Safety Officials—DC File

ADILABAD: Food safety officials seized 90 kg of substandard edible oil and sealed a KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) outlet on Sawaran Street in Karimnagar city on Friday after finding that food was being prepared using poor-quality oil and under unhygienic conditions.

The outlet’s organisers argued with the food safety team led by food safety officer Ankith Reddy during the raid. Officials collected samples of food items and ingredients used in their preparation.

The officials said the samples would be sent to a laboratory for testing. Further action would be taken based on the test report.
