Rs 5 Lakh Ex Gratia Announced for Families of RIMS Fire Victims
Health Minister orders better treatment for survivors and a 150-bed mother-child centre
Adilabad: Adilabad collector Rajarshi Shah on Wednesday said the state government had announced Rs 5 lakh ex gratia each to the bereaved families who lost their infants in the fire at the SNCU ward of RIMS, Adilabad.
The collector said Health Minister C. Raja Narasimha announced the ex gratia on the instructions of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
He said the health minister had enquired about the health condition of infants undergoing treatment at various hospitals and instructed officials to shift them, if required, to corporate hospitals and government super-speciality hospitals in Hyderabad for better treatment.
The collector further said the health minister had announced that a 150-bed mother and child care centre would be constructed at RIMS, Adilabad, on a war footing.
Shah visited private hospitals in Adilabad where infants were undergoing treatment and asked doctors to provide better treatment for their early recovery.
