HYDERABAD: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy left for Delhi on Wednesday to attend the 11th Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre.
The meeting will deliberate on the theme ‘Inclusive Human Development for Viksit Bharat @2047,’ in line with the Prime Minister’s vision of ‘Team India’ for building a developed India by 2047. Discussions will focus on ensuring the well‑being and development of every citizen irrespective of age, region, gender or socio‑economic background, and on translating this vision into measurable outcomes.
The Governing Council will bring together Chief Ministers, Lieutenant Governors and senior policymakers to discuss an Inclusive Human Development Framework anchored around four pillars — foundational human capital and future‑ready skills, productive employment and entrepreneurship with decentralised growth, health and nutrition for overall well‑being, and equity and dignity for all sections of society. Measures to promote entrepreneurship, strengthen skill development and generate sustainable employment opportunities will also be taken up.
Deliberations are expected on an implementation roadmap leveraging governance reforms, Digital Public Infrastructure, departmental convergence, partnerships and data‑driven systems to ensure accountability and measurable impact. The roadmap will include mechanisms to monitor short‑, medium‑ and long‑term outcomes while aligning state‑level visions with the national goal of inclusive human development and sustainable growth.
The Governing Council will also review recommendations made during the fifth National Conference of Chief Secretaries held in December 2025, which focused on early childhood education, schooling, skilling for a future‑ready workforce, higher education for a knowledge economy, and promotion of sports and extracurricular activities.
The meeting will be attended by Chief Ministers of states and Union Territories, Lieutenant Governors and administrators of Union Territories, Union ministers serving as ex‑officio members and special invitees, besides the vice‑chairman, members and chief executive officer of NITI Aayog.
During the meeting, Revanth Reddy is expected to showcase flagship initiatives of the Telangana government in education, skill development and youth empowerment. He will highlight the establishment of the Young India Skills University and the upgrading of Industrial Training Institutes into Advanced Training Centres to equip youth with industry‑relevant skills.
The Chief Minister will also present the government’s initiative to establish the Young India Sports University to encourage participation in sports and extracurricular activities, and the proposal to set up Young India Integrated Residential Schools for students from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, minorities and general categories under one roof. The initiative aims to replace caste‑segregated residential schools with a unified and inclusive education model promoting social harmony and providing world‑class opportunities to underprivileged students.
