Revanth Reddy ‘Degraded Democracy’, Charges N.V. Subash
BJP spokesperson N.V. Subash criticised Telangana CM Revanth Reddy over his remarks on democracy and alleged that he had undermined the value of votes.
State BJP chief spokesperson N.V. Subash questioned Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for travelling to Delhi to speak about democracy and voting rights. Subash claimed that Revanth Reddy had degraded the value of votes in the alleged ‘cash for vote’ case of 2015. He said such a person blaming the BJP for “seat theft and vote theft” was like the devil quoting scriptures.
Addressing a press conference, Subash questioned why Revanth Reddy was silent after earlier alleging that 45 acres of government land were encroached at BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao’s farmhouse at Erravelli,. He asked why Revanth Reddy, who as PCC president had promised to expose the corruption of Chandrashekar Raos’ family and send them to jail within 100 days of coming to power, had taken no action on 20 alleged scams, including Kaleshwaram, phone tapping, Dharani, the sheep scam and power purchases.
Subash accused the Congress and the BRS of “fighting by the day and becoming friends by night” to deceive the public. He recalled the arrest of then BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar during a peaceful fast and said current state president N. Ramchander Rao was arrested six times in a month. He also alleged Union minister G. Kishan Reddy was disrespected by not giving proper protocol in Singareni.
He accused Congress ministers and MLAs of causing traffic jams through protests and said Revanth Reddy is ignoring farmers, power tariffs and unemployment to focus on real estate.
