Nizamabad police are exploring wider use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other emerging technologies to make policing faster, more transparent and efficient.

A review meeting on integrating AI-based technologies into policing was held at the Nizamabad police commissionerate on Thursday. Following the directions of commissioner of police P. Sai Chaitanya, additional DCP (Admin) N. Shubham Prakash conducted the meeting with principals, professors and faculty members from various engineering and technical institutions.

Officials and academicians discussed the potential use of AI in crime analysis and prevention, crime data processing, detection of suspicious activities, traffic management, CCTV footage analysis, cybercrime investigation, social media monitoring and faster delivery of police services.

The meeting also focused on training police personnel and improving their technical skills. Officials discussed developing AI-based software, applications and other solutions with the support of technical experts from educational institutions.

Shubham Prakash said coordination between educational institutions, technology experts and the police department could help improve public safety and prepare the force for technology-driven policing.
