Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy along with Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president B Mahesh Kumar Goud met All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Mallikarjun Kharge and MP Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi on Thursday.

During the meeting, the leaders discussed the future course of action to be taken after the Cabinet resolution on implementing 42 per cent reservations for Backward Classes in local bodies’ elections.

Based on the empirical data of the caste census survey conducted in Telangana, the State government passed a law in the Assembly increasing reservation in local bodies, education and jobs by 42 percent.

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Mallu Vikramarka, AICC In-charge Meenakshi Natarajan, Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, Konda Surekha, Vakiti Srihari, N Uttam Kumar Reddy, expert committee members Kancha Ilaiah and other key leaders were also present during the meeting.
