Revanth: Expedite Development Works in Three Municipal Corporations in the City
Revanth Reddy instructed officials to ensure that projects are completed without unnecessary delays.
Hyderabad:Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday directed municipal officials to speed up development works being undertaken under the three municipal corporations in and around Hyderabad and ensure better coordination among various government departments for timely execution of projects.
The Chief Minister conducted a meeting on municipal administration at the MCRHRD institute, where he reviewed the progress of development works being taken up within the jurisdiction of the three commissionerates. Municipal administration department secretary Sridevi, Chief Minister’s secretary Manicka Raj, GHMC commissioner R. K. Karnan, CMC commissioner G. Srijana, MMC commissioner T. Vinay Krishna Reddy, HYDRAA commissioner A. V. Ranganath, MRDCL managing director E. V. Narasimha Reddy and HMWS&SB managing director Ashok Reddy attended the meeting.
Revanth Reddy instructed officials to ensure that projects are completed without unnecessary delays. He made it clear that tenders should not be invited for any project unless the required land acquisition process had been completed. He said a special officer had already been appointed to oversee and expedite land acquisition.
The Chief Minister further directed officials to organise a coordination meeting involving representatives of all concerned government departments to resolve issues related to permissions and approvals for development works being taken up under the GHMC, Malkajgiri and Cyberabad commissionerates. He stressed the need for close coordination among departments so that procedural hurdles do not delay projects.
Revanth Reddy also directed the Hyderabad metropolitan development authority to expedite works relating to the proposed statue of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the associated junction development in Cyberabad.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister examined the proposed building design of the national institute of urban management and the building design of the Malkajgiri municipal corporation. He reviewed the models and offered several suggestions to the officials regarding the proposed structures and their development.
