Officials said the service enables people to share information on crimes, traffic congestion, accidents, and other violations through a simple text message. The helpline number 9490616555 is monitored by police personnel to ensure prompt response and action.
The initiative is aimed at strengthening communication between citizens and the police, making it easier for the public to reach out without visiting police stations.
Police said the system connects citizens directly with officers of the rank of Sub-Inspector and above, ensuring that grievances are addressed efficiently. The department reiterated its commitment to maintaining public safety and providing quick assistance through digital platforms.
