Hyderabad: The auction of 50 Rajiv Swagruha properties has fetched the government revenue of more than Rs.100 crore, according to corporation managing director V.P. Gautam. In Tuesday’s auction, a bidder quoted Rs.46,600 per square yard.
He said the open auction of Rajiv Swagruha properties across the city were receiving widespread response from buyers. In the auction at Medchal-Malkajgiri district’s Bahadurpally, authorities auctioned 68 plots on Tuesday.

A total of 119 bidders participated in the auction for the properties near the ORR. Authorities set a price of Rs.30,000 per square yard for corner plots and 200-1,000 sq. yds plots as an offset, and Rs.27,000 per square yard for other plots.
In the auctions, which went on until 8 pm, the highest bid was for Rs.46,500 per square yard. Authorities are expecting more bidders will participate in buying the plots.
