Hyderabad: A recharge borewell-cum-rainwater harvesting pit has been constructed and is now in use at KGR function hall, near Pragathi Nagar Kaman at Nizampet Circle in Quthbullapur Zone in Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) limits.
The facility is helping clear water stagnation at Pragathi Nagar Kaman, where recurring waterlogging was affecting an important point for traffic movement. The accumulated rainwater is now diverted into the harvesting pit and recharged into the ground through the injection borewells.
This has helped improve the condition at the location and support smoother traffic movement, while also enabling rainwater recharge.
