Rahul Obstructing Reforms, Alleges Laxman

Hyderabad: Rajya Sabha member and BJP OBC Morcha national president K. Laxman on Saturday accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of obstructing development and reforms through “cheap politics” and repeated disruptions in Parliament.

At a press conference at the BJP office, Laxman alleged Gandhi was unable to accept Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s growing global popularity and was staging political dramas. He said Modi had strengthened India’s diplomatic relations and enhanced its image worldwide. He accused opposition parties of blocking Parliament and opposing reforms including One Nation, One Election, changes to the Waqf law, abrogation of Article 370, abolition of triple talaq, One Nation, One Ration and measures on digital transactions and foreign funding.

Laxman alleged Congress and allies obstructed the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, which provides 33 per cent reservation for women in legislatures. He said the BJP would ensure implementation by 2029 and support delimitation to increase seats. Targeting Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Laxman alleged the Congress government was pursuing a “two-eye policy” that harmed Hindus and Sanatana Dharma. He said people would reject Congress’s “personal hatred and divisive politics” and support Modi’s vision of a developed India.
