Puja Performed for Sacred Paddy Seeds at Bhadrachalam Temple

Khammam: A special puja was performed for paddy seeds at the Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy Temple in Bhadrachalam on Sunday as part of preparations for the temple's annual celestial wedding ceremony.

Members of the Bhakta Ramadasu Bhakta Mandali conducted the rituals for the sacred seeds. Devotees from Chelpur in Bhupalpally district will cultivate the paddy, harvest the crop and prepare the traditional talambralu (sacred rice mixed with turmeric) to be offered during the Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy Kalyanam.

The ritual of offering prayers to the paddy seeds was conducted for the 11th consecutive year.
