VIJAYAWADA: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has advised Education Minister Nara Lokesh not to lose more weight. The advice came during a warm and informal interaction between the two at the residence of chief minister Chandrababu Naidu in Hyderabad on Sunday.

Lokesh, responding with a smile, told the PM that Modi’s discipline, fitness regimen and tireless work ethic continued to inspire him.
The fitness conversation triggered laughter during the meeting that lasted over an hour and reflected the growing personal rapport between the prime minister and the Nara family.
Narendra Modi was in Hyderabad on an official visit. He reached out to the CM’s family despite his packed schedule.
The chief minister thanked the PM for the Centre’s support to Andhra Pradesh in areas such as Amaravati, Polavaram, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant and other development initiatives.
The prime minister recalled his earlier meeting with Lokesh in New Delhi during the release of the Yuvagalam coffee table book. A framed photograph from that event, displayed prominently at the entrance of the residence.
Modi later offered prayers at the Ram temple inside the residence. Naidu explained that the Panchaloha idols of Sita and Rama housed there were gifted decades ago by legendary actor and former chief minister NT Rama Rao.
Sources said the PM shares a close rapport with Lokesh and had earlier invited him, along with his wife Brahmani and son Devansh, to his residence in Delhi for an extended interaction.
The Naidu family hosted the PM to a traditional Andhra-style tea and presented him with a specially crafted Venkatagiri Jamdani woven portrait of Lord Venkateswara, symbolising the state’s handloom and cultural heritage.
