Over 50 Vendors Attend TGSPDCL Pre-Bid Meet for Hyderabad UG Cable Project
TGSPDCL officials assured participants that all concerns would be recorded and detailed written clarifications will be issued.
Hyderabad:More than 50 representatives participated in the pre-bid meeting for the underground (UG) cable project in the core city limits in the first phase, by the Telangana Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TGSPDCL) on Thursday. The project will cover the areas surrounding the city in different phases. The project is aimed at making the power distribution network more modern, reliable and interruption-free and is expected to reduce power interruptions caused by falling tree branches, weather, birds and animals.
Representatives from cable manufacturing companies, jointing kit manufacturers, construction firms and project implementation agencies from various states attended the meet. Detailed discussions were held on the technical, financial, implementation and quality aspects of the project.
TGSPDCL chairman and managing director Jitesh V. Patil gave a overview of the project objectives, implementation strategy, quality standards, timelines and measures to enhance the reliability of the power distribution system. He emphasised that there would be no compromise on quality, given the project’s importance to Hyderabad’s infrastructure development.
Vendors raised queries and suggestions on tender conditions, eligibility criteria, mobilisation advance, bank guarantees, technical specifications, jointing kits, underground cable systems and e-procurement portal-related matters. TGSPDCL officials assured participants that all concerns would be recorded and detailed written clarifications will be issued.
Technical queries were addressed by director (Projects & IT) V. Shivaji and chief engineer (Projects) Mohan, who explained project implementation methodology, technical standards, quality control measures and field-level challenges.
