NIMS Providing Free Treatment to Khammam Girl Under Aarogyasri, Says Director
Dr Rahul Devaraj said Nims had ensured that the family did not face any financial burden.
Hyderabad: The Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (Nims) director Dr Rahul Devaraj stated on Thursday that the institute was providing free treatment under the Aarogyasri scheme to a girl from Khammam who was recently admitted in a critical condition. Necessary medical interventions were initiated without delay, Dr Devaraj said.
"CT scans, MRI scans and blood investigations have been conducted free of cost under Aarogyasri coverage. The girl's condition is stable and she is being closely monitored by a team of expert doctors," he said.
The director said Nims had ensured that the family did not face any financial burden. "The patient's parents are from a poor background. We have provided accommodation for them within the hospital premises and are arranging all necessary facilities," he said.
