Night Bus Services Launched by TGSRTC
Officials said the service will help late‑night workers and night‑shift employees.
Hyderabad:TGSRTC started night bus services in the city on Wednesday. The services run from 10 pm to 5 am. On day one, 15 buses operated.
Bus No. 10H, Secunderabad to Kondapur via Hitec, saw good passenger turnout. Bus No. 290U, Secunderabad to Hayatnagar, also had reasonable occupancy. Other routes recorded low numbers.
The pilot project covers six routes:
10H Secunderabad–Kondapur via Wave Rock
· 219 Secunderabad–Patancheru
· 290U Secunderabad–Hayatnagar
· 218 Koti–Patancheru
· 222A Koti–Patancheru via KBR
· 195W Bachupally–Wave Rock
Greater Hyderabad Zone executive director A. Sridhar said occupancy was encouraging on two routes and expected to rise soon.
The focus is on the IT corridor and high‑traffic routes. Buses run every 30 minutes to one hour. More services will be added depending on demand.
