Hyderabad: Unidentified persons abandoned a new born female baby wrapped in a plastic bag at Airport Colony in Shamshabad on Wednesday.
A police patrol team rushed to the spot after receiving information over Dial 100 and first rushed the baby to the government hospital in Shamshabad and later to Sishu Vihar in Ameerpet for proper care.
The RGIA police said they were examining the footage of surveillance cameras installed at the colony to zero in on the persons who abandoned the baby. Further investigation is on.
