Hyderabad: A woman, Vijaya Lakshmi attempted to kill her 65-year-old mother-in-law Padmavathi with a knife at her house at Erukala Basthi in Chilklaguda on Tuesday.

When she raised an alarm, Padmavathi’s neighbours rushed to her rescue and rushed her to a nearby private hospital where doctors said her condition is stable. Based on a complaint, the police booked a case and took up the investigation.
