HYDERABAD: The state government has allocated ₹25 crore to develop education infrastructure in the Old City, including school and college buildings at the Canchalagua educational campus in Malak pet. The proposed construction works include a G+3 school building, with each floor spread across 13,000 sq ft and a G+1 structure for the post-graduate college.

On Tuesday, local MLA Ahmed Balala, Hyderabad district collector Dr Priyanka Ala and officials of Telangana Education Welfare Infrastructure Development Corporation inspected the premises of the junior college. Officials were instructed to assess and submit detailed project reports (DPRs) for the necessary works. MLA Balala said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had allocated ₹25 crore for establishing the school, college, and sports facilities at the Canchalagua educational campus.
