Kishan Reddy Slams Rahul Over Remarks On Institutions
Union minister Kishan Reddy criticised Rahul Gandhi over his remarks on constitutional institutions and accused him of spreading misinformation.
Union minister Kishan Reddy strongly criticised Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, charging that he is spreading false information about India’s constitutional bodies. Reddy made these comments in a post on his social media platform X, calling Gandhi’s actions a “habitual” tactic to mislead the public.
He referred to Gandhi’s 2019 “Chowkidar chor hai” remark, which led to a contempt case and an unconditional apology to the Supreme Court. He also cited Gandhi’s defamation conviction over a remark on the “Modi surname,” where the Court warned him to show restraint.
The minister accused Gandhi of repeatedly undermining institutions whenever his party faced political setbacks. He listed examples such as claims of EVM tampering after losses, silence when his party wins, and attacks on the Special Investigation Team (SIT) process.
Reddy said Gandhi’s conduct shows a pattern of demeaning India abroad, politicising the Army, and weakening trust in statutory bodies. He described this record as a “big failure” and said it reflects the behaviour of a “loser” rather than a responsible Leader of the Opposition.
In his post, Reddy urged Gandhi to stop using conspiracy theories. He asked him to take responsibility for misleading the country, own his political failures, and stop blaming institutions for his career setbacks. Reddy said elections are won by the people’s mandate, not by attacking statutory bodies.
