N. Swetha Appointed Warangal Police Commissioner

Warangal: Senior IPS officer N. Swetha has been appointed commissioner of police, Warangal police commissionerate, as part of a major reshuffle of IPS officers in Telangana.
The state government has transferred the incumbent commissioner, Srin Sunpreet Singh, and posted him as joint commissioner of traffic, Cyberabad. Orders to this effect were issued on Tuesday.
A 2012-batch IPS officer, Swetha is currently serving as joint commissioner of police, North Zone, Hyderabad. She is expected to assume charge shortly.
A native of Andhra Pradesh, Swetha holds a bachelor’s degree in electronics and joined the Indian Police Service through the UPSC Civil Services Examination in 2012.
During her career, she has served as superintendent of police of Kamareddy district, commissioner of police, Siddipet, deputy commissioner of police in Hyderabad, and held senior positions in the detective department and the Hyderabad police commissionerate.
The government has appointed Swetha to head the Warangal Police Commissionerate as it continues to focus on law and order, crime prevention, traffic management and public safety across the tri-city region.
