Month-Long Operation Muskaan-XII to Rescue Children and Bonded Labourers

Hyderabad:Director-General of Police, women safety wing, Charu Sinha on Tuesday highlighted the importance of a coordinated multi-departmental effort during `Operation Muskaan-XII` to rescue children, to be conducted throughout the state from Wednesday till July 31. The effort focuses on tracing missing children, rescue of child and bonded labour and to ensure their protection, rehabilitation and reintegration.
At a meeting to launch the poster for the operation, directions were given to finalise the strategy and implementation framework for the month-long campaign. Present at the event were representatives of the police, stakeholders and NGOs.
Key focus areas included the systematic tracing of missing children, the identification of repeat offenders/employers engaged in child exploitation and the optimisation of roles for special juvenile police units, anti-human trafficking units, sub-divisional Operation Muskaan teams, district child protection officers, child welfare committees and childcare institutions.
