HMDA’s Mokila Auction Fetches ₹231.65 Crore as All 100 Plots Are Sold

Hyderabad:A residential plot in HMDA’s Mokila Layout fetched ₹1.09 lakh per square yard on Tuesday, even as all 100 plots put up for auction were sold, generating revenue of about ₹231.65 crore for the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA).
The Phase III e-auction of residential plots witnessed strong participation, according to a HMDA statement. The highest bid touched ₹1,09,500 per square yard, while the average bid rate stood at ₹75,640 per square yard.
HMDA said the sale of all plots reflected continued demand for residential land in the city’s western growth corridor and confidence among buyers in planned layouts developed by the authority. Several plots attracted multiple bids, resulting in intense competition during the auction process.
According to HMDA, the successful auction is expected to encourage further investment and development activity in the western corridor, which has emerged as a major destination for new housing projects in recent years. The authority described the response as an indication of sustained demand for well-planned residential layouts despite rising land prices in and around Hyderabad.
