MLC Saraiah Challenges Surekha to Resign and Contest Again
Speaking to media at his residence in Warangal, Saraiah objected to Surekha’s recent remarks against him.
Warangal: MLC Baswaraju Saraiah on Friday challenged former minister Konda Surekha to resign as MLA and contest independently from Warangal East, saying he would enter the fray against her as an independent candidate.
Speaking to media at his residence in Warangal, Saraiah objected to Surekha’s recent remarks against him.
The MLC alleged that the Konda couple have used the BC card politically whenever it suited them to put pressure on parties they are associated with at the time.
Saraiah said it is inappropriate for Surekha to criticise Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. He observed that Surekha is responsible for her own dismissal from the ministry. “Let her resign as MLA and contest again. I will contest against her as an independent candidate. Let people decide who has greater strength,” the MLC challenged, objecting to Surekha’s remarks against him. Welcoming the appointment of Gundu Sudharani as KUDA chairperson, he expressed hope that more party leaders would be given nominated posts.
