MGM Hospital To Get Funds for Equipment, Infrastructure: Minister

Minister assures funds for infrastructure, equipment and filling vacant medical posts.

Adilabad: Minister for Endowments and Forests Konda Surekha on Wednesday directed officials of MGM Hospital to focus on improving infrastructure, equipment and staffing to enhance patient care.

At a meeting of the MGM Hospital Development Committee, she assured that funds would be sanctioned for procurement of medical equipment and creation of necessary infrastructure.

The meeting, attended by Warangal MP Kadium Kavya, MLA K.R. Nagaraju, Kuda chairperson Dr Satya Sharada and Hanamkonda collector Chahat Bajpai, reviewed measures for development of the hospital.

Discussions covered the inauguration of the Warangal super speciality hospital, filling of vacant posts of doctors and nursing staff, and renovation of the nursing school building.

Kadium Kavya stressed the need for regular hospital development society meetings and said efforts would be made to secure additional funds under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana.

She also called for prioritising the neurosurgery department and sought reasons for a decline in cases, while suggesting a separate wing for transgender patients in the upcoming super speciality hospital.

MGM superintendent Dr Harichandra Reddy and other officials attended the meeting.
