MeeSeva Doorstep Service Draws Strong Response
Telangana’s MeeSeva doorstep service received 3,885 calls within a month of launch, offering certificates and Aadhaar services at residents’ homes in CURE areas.
Citizens can now obtain key certificates and Aadhaar services at their doorstep, with the MeeSeva Doorstep Delivery Service receiving 3,885 calls on its toll‑free helpline within a month of launch.
Introduced under the state government’s “Telangana Rising” vision, the service enables residents to secure income, caste, residence, birth and death certificates, along with Aadhaar enrolment and update services, without visiting centres or standing in queues.
Electronic Service Delivery commissioner T. Ravi Kiran said citizens can dial the toll‑free number 1100 or raise a request through the MeeSeva portal. After selecting the service and sharing details with a call‑centre executive, a MeeSeva doorstep executive will visit the applicant’s home at the scheduled time.
Implemented under the Information Technology, Electronics and Communications (ITE&C) department, the initiative aims to make services more convenient, accessible and transparent. IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu has promoted technology‑driven reforms in MeeSeva to improve public service delivery.
At present, the doorstep facility is available only in CURE (Core Urban Region Economy) areas. Applicable service charges will be levied, and the government plans to expand the service based on public response.
