Medak Assistant Divisional Engineer in ACB Net
The tainted bribe amount of Rs.25,000 was recovered from the possession of Reddy: ACB
Hyderabad: The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) here on Friday arrested Muddam Ramana Reddy, an Assistant Divisional Engineer (Operations), in Narsapur division in Medak district, in his office while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 25,000 from the complainant for doing an official favour.
The bribe was demanded to forward 11 work bills of the complainant amounting to Rs.3.13 lakh to the Divisional Engineer, Electrical Operations in Medak. The tainted bribe amount of Rs.25,000 was recovered from the possession of Reddy, the ACB officials said, adding that the accused officer performed public duty improperly and dishonestly to obtain undue advantage.
The details of the complainant are withheld for security reasons, according to an ACB statement.
