MCR Tims Inpatient Services From Aug. 21
Dr MCR Tims will begin inpatient services in general medicine, orthopaedics and cardiology from August 21, with 582 beds available initially.
General medicine, orthopaedic and cardiac services will be available to patients at the Dr Marri Chenna Reddy Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (Dr MCR Tims) from August 21, hospital officials said.
Patients requiring emergency care in these three specialties will be admitted for inpatient treatment. In the first phase, 582 beds will be utilised for elective procedures and emergency cases.
The hospital was inaugurated by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on August 17.
Outpatient services will be available from 8 am to 2 pm, while registration will be open from 8 am to noon through nine counters. Patients will be issued tokens after registration, with token numbers displayed near the respective departments.
The Chief Minister had directed officials during the inauguration to ensure efficient queue management and prevent patients from waiting for long periods.
Renal services, one of the specialised services planned at Dr MCR Tims, will, however, take more time to commence, officials told Deccan Chronicle.
The government has sanctioned 2,360 posts for the hospital, comprising 1,633 medical, 355 allied and 372 non-medical posts.
As regular recruitment is still under way, around 1,200 vacant posts from surrounding government hospitals and medical colleges have been redeployed in two phases, said Dr A. Narendra Kumar, director of Dr MCR Tims.
