HYDERABAD: The IndiGo Airlines portal experienced a technical outage affecting its core reservation platform, causing intermittent disruptions across its website and mobile app on Wednesday. It was confirmed by the airline, which posted on its social handle: “We regret the inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience and understanding.” The airline team later mentioned that the website and mobile app were back to normal.
During the outage, the airline requested that customers needing immediate travel assistance reach out to its Contact Centre for support. Those with later travel plans were advised to try accessing the website or app again after some time.
Nitin Joseph of BMJ Travels said, “During the outage, attempts to use the digital channels encountered multiple system blockages, including ‘No Data Available’ or ‘No flights found’ error messages during flight searches. There were failed ticket bookings through both the official website and third‑party travel platforms. Web check‑in failures prevented travellers from securing boarding passes online, leading to increased airport wait times and slower manual processing at check‑in counters.”
