Adilabad:A mass housewarming ceremony for Indiramma houses will be held on June 1, with officials in Adilabad district stepping up efforts to complete pending units ahead of the deadline.
District collectors have directed housing and revenue officials to expedite construction of incomplete houses on a priority basis. Officials are also engaging with beneficiaries to ensure timely completion and address any issues.
According to official sources, a target of 2,773 houses was set for the function, of which 1,708 had been completed by May 25 in Adilabad district. Efforts are under way to complete the remaining 1,065 houses before June 1.
Adilabad Collector Rajarshi Shah instructed officials to ensure that all unfinished houses are completed and included in the function.
Meanwhile, a survey is being conducted to identify eligible beneficiaries living in huts for the second phase of the Indiramma housing scheme. The data will be submitted to district collectors for issuance of sanction orders.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is scheduled to attend a public meeting in Asifabad on June 1, where he will launch the second phase of the scheme and inaugurate houses at Kothaguda village in Kereameri mandal of Komaram Bheem Asifabad district.
Arrangements are being made for the event at Kagaznagar X Road, with local leaders and officials overseeing preparations. Measures including provision of drinking water and ORS packets are being arranged for attendees in view of high temperatures.
