MANUU expands ‘Visit Urdu University’ programme
Vice-chancellor Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan said the university continues to cater to Urdu-speaking students through professional, technical and traditional courses.
Hyderabad:Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) has launched the second phase of its “Visit Urdu University” programme in Hyderabad, along with measures including concessional lunches and subsidised RTC bus services for day scholars, with the university bearing half the fare.
Vice-chancellor Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan said the university continues to cater to Urdu-speaking students through professional, technical and traditional courses. He said English is also taught to ensure students are not disadvantaged in employment opportunities.
Students from Darul Uloom Rahmaniya, Al-Muhad Al-Aali vo Arabi and Aisha Niswan participated in the programme. Prof. Hasan said the university maintains respect for students’ dress, including the burqa, on campus.
Public relations officer Dr Mohd. Mustafa Ali Sarwari highlighted achievements of MANUU alumni in India and abroad. He advised madrasa students interested in science, law and professional courses to complete Classes X and XII through TOSS before applying to university programmes.
