Man Kills Wife Over Marital Disputes

HYDERABAD: A man, despite efforts at a compromise, allegedly killed his wife at their home, Bahadurpura police said. Police apprehended Sulaiman Sayeed for the murder of his wife Nishad Fatim, over suspicion regarding her character and resentment over her frequent visits to her parental home.

Police said that regardless of efforts to strike compromise through the Lok Adalat, Sayeed continued to subject his wife to mental and physical abuse. Following a heated altercation on Sunday, Sayeed murdered his wife when she was asleep. Sayeed disposed of their mobile phones before fleeing from the crime scene. Using field intelligence and analysing CCTV cameras, police got a lead and tracked down the accused.
