Mahabubabad Gets Four Ambulances to Strengthen Rural Healthcare
Ambulances procured with ₹1 crore in ONGC CSR funds to provide emergency patient transport and referral services in remote areas.
Mahabubabad: Four new ambulances were launched in Mahabubabad district on Wednesday to improve access to emergency healthcare for people in rural and tribal areas.
The ambulances were procured with Rs 1 crore in CSR funds provided by ONGC.
National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST) member Jatoth Hussain Naik, who attended the programme as the chief guest, inaugurated the ambulances.
Naik said timely access to emergency healthcare was crucial for people living in remote rural and tribal areas.
“These ambulances will play a key role in transporting patients to hospitals without delay and saving precious lives.
It is appreciable that CSR funds are being utilized to meet the healthcare needs of people,” he said.
The project was implemented by the Satwik Rural and Urban Integrated Association (SRYIA) with Rs 1 crore in CSR assistance from ONGC.
The ambulances will be used for emergency patient transportation and referral services.
DMHO Dr Burkya Ravi Rathod Goud, Gudur CHC superintendent Dr Veeranna Naik Goud, ONGC DGM (HR) M. Srinivas Goud, ASM KVK Raju Rao, SRYIA president Ch. Ramesh Goud and others were present.
