Lokesh Inaugurates IBM Consulting FutureNow Centre in Vizag

Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh on Wednesday inaugurated the IBM Consulting FutureNow Centre here, which will serve as a key hub for delivering consulting and technology services to global clients.
According to a press release, the centre's capabilities span artificial intelligence, hybrid cloud, software engineering, data and analytics, cybersecurity, and enterprise transformation.
"The FutureNow Centre was inaugurated by Nara Lokesh, Minister for IT, Electronics and HRD, Government of Andhra Pradesh, in the presence of Sandip Patel, Managing Director, IBM India & South Asia, along with other dignitaries from the Andhra Pradesh government and IBM," it said.
The centre will serve as a hub for AI-first cloud transformation and services, platform engineering, service integration, quality engineering, and user experience services.
"IBM's FutureNow Centre is a strong endorsement of Visakhapatnam's emergence as a global hub for artificial intelligence, digital services, and technology-led innovation," Lokesh said.
"Our vision is not merely to attract technology investments, but to build a comprehensive ecosystem that creates high-quality employment, develops future-ready talent, and enables young people from Andhra Pradesh to participate in the global digital economy," he said.
"We welcome IBM's continued commitment to Andhra Pradesh and look forward to working together to make Visakhapatnam one of India's leading destinations for AI and digital transformation," Lokesh added.
IBM India and South Asia Managing Director Sandip Patel said India has a unique opportunity to lead in the digital era by combining its talent, innovation, and technological capabilities to realise the vision of Viksit Bharat (developed India) 2047. IBM Consulting operates 15 FutureNow Centres across India.
