Licensed Surveyors’ Services To Be Available From Oct 2: Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy
The first phase of training had already been completed and the second phase would commence in 23 district centres: Revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy
HYDERABAD: Revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy on Sunday said that the second phase of training for licensed surveyors would begin on August 18, and their services would be available from October 2, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti.
The minister said that the first phase of training had already been completed and the second phase would commence in 23 district centres. Candidates were advised to report to the assistant director of the survey department in their respective districts by 10 am on August 18.
A review meeting was held with officials regarding the appointment of licensed surveyors. Addressing the meeting, he said that the government was making survey maps mandatory during registration under the Land Act, and hence, licensed surveyors’ services would be available from October 2.
“Training was given to 7,000 candidates at district centres for 50 working days between May 26 and July 26. Practical exams were held on July 28 and 29 with assistance from JNTU, and the results were declared. Those who passed have already started 40 days of apprenticeship,” Srinivasa Reddy said.
He added that licenses would be issued immediately after the training and asked officials to prepare a survey manual for transparent management of services. “Revenue and survey departments are inseparably linked. Strengthening the survey department will strengthen the revenue system,” he said.
