Kulsumpura Police Hold Road Safety Drive at Gudimalkapur

Hyderabad:Kulsumpura traffic police on Sunday conducted the “Arrive Alive” road safety programme, in which over 240 e‑drivers transporting vegetables at Gudimalkapur wholesale market participated. The programme aimed to sensitise members of the market committee and drivers of four‑wheeled vehicles to essential road safety practices and traffic regulations.
During the session, participants were briefed on safety guidelines and advised not to operate any motor vehicle without a valid driving licence, SHO M. Rajendra Prasad said. Police instructed drivers not to permit minors to drive vehicles under any circumstances, to always wear protective helmets while riding two‑wheelers, to strictly refrain from driving under the influence of alcohol or intoxicating substances, and to abide by traffic rules, signs and regulations at all times. All participants were urged to adhere to traffic laws to prevent accidents and contribute to safer city roads, the SHO added.
Filmnagar police book man for sexual assault, extortion
Hyderabad: Filmnagar police registered a case against a man accused of sexual assault and extortion of ₹10 lakh on the pretext of marrying a woman movie coordinator.
According to police, the victim lodged a complaint stating she had been in contact with accused Suman Neeraj since 2019 and both lived together until 2023. She alleged that during their relationship Suman collected ₹10 lakh from her on the promise of marriage, later blocked her number and began avoiding her.
On August 26, the victim said Suman came to her hotel room in MLA Colony and sexually assaulted her despite her resistance. Based on her complaint, a case has been registered and investigation is underway, police disclosed.
