KTR to Appear in Nampally Court Today
The court has ordered the physical presence of all accused named in the chargesheet on the first day of hearings.
Hyderabad:The ACB Special Court at Nampally has directed BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao, former special chief secretary Arvind Kumar and three other accused to appear before it on Friday in connection with the Formula E race case, as it begins formal trial proceedings.
The court has ordered the physical presence of all accused named in the chargesheet on the first day of hearings. On May 14, 2026, the court had taken cognisance of the chargesheet filed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) and issued summons to the accused.
The case pertains to alleged financial and procedural irregularities during the BRS government’s conduct of the February 2023 international electric car race in Hyderabad.
The ACB has alleged that `54.88 crore from Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) accounts was transferred to a foreign entity without obtaining mandatory approval from the state Cabinet.
