Hyderabad:BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Wednesday accused the Congress and BJP leaders in Telangana of compromising the state's interests by remaining subservient to their respective party leaderships in Delhi.

Speaking to reporters at Telangana Bhavan, Rama Rao alleged that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had been pushed aside by the security personnel accompanying Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi. He said such incidents reflected the lack of respect shown to Telangana leaders by their national leaderships.

"Telangana will never receive justice from parties based in Delhi. The Congress and the BJP are one and the same. If the Congress is a party that carries the bags of its masters, the BJP is a party that carries their footwear," he alleged.

Warning people against trusting either national party again, Rama Rao claimed that the Congress and BJP would mortgage Telangana's interests to Delhi or Gujarat.

Targeting Union minister of state for home affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the BRS leader alleged that he had reduced himself to the role of a bouncer while accompanying Union home minister Amit Shah during his recent visit to Hyderabad.

"As a Union minister, Bandi Sanjay should refrain from bringing disrepute to the people of Karimnagar," he said.

Questioning the outcome of Shah's visit, Rama Rao asked what the Union home minister had secured for Telangana.

"Amit Shah visited Telangana and left after merely waving his hands. What did he actually give to the state?" he asked, accusing the BJP leadership of failing to secure major projects and benefits for Telangana.
