KTR Asks CM To Prove Globe Arena Allegations or Apologise

Warangal: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao on Thursday dismissed Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy's allegations that Globe Arena is the latter’s benami company, describing the claim as "completely baseless." Speaking to media informally while attending a programme in Warangal, KTR said he has already served a legal defamation notice to the Chief Minister over the remarks related to Globe Arena. Questioning the government's stand, the BRS working president asked why the Congress government had entered into agreements with Globe Arena if it is indeed KTR’s benami company. He challenged the Chief Minister to substantiate the allegations with evidence, failing which he should publicly apologise. Rama Rao termed the Congress protest in Kodangal, instead of Raj Bhavan, as "political theatre." Accusing the CM of pursuing "compromise politics," KTR alleged that Revanth Reddy sided with the Congress during the day and the BJP at night. The BRS working president said he is prepared to face a CID inquiry and, if necessary, even a lie detector test. He challenged the Chief Minister to agree to a Special Investigation Team (SIT) or CID probe into corruption allegations involving members of his (KTR’s) family.
