Komuravelli Station to Open on July 26

Hyderabad:Union minister for coal and mines G Kishan Reddy will inaugurate the Komuravelli railway station on July 26, giving a major boost to rail connectivity for devotees visiting the Sri Komuravelli Mallana Swamy Temple and for residents in the region.

Developed to improve passenger convenience and regional connectivity, the station is expected to ease travel for pilgrims who earlier depended largely on road transport. It will also support tourism around the temple town and improve access for nearby villages and towns in Siddipet district.

Built at an estimated cost of Rs 5.33 crore, the station is almost ready for public use, with modern facilities and halts for select passenger services expected from the day of inauguration. The opening is being seen as another example of the Centre’s push to expand and modernise railway infrastructure in Telangana.

The BJP has been highlighting the rapid growth of Indian Railways, including new lines, station redevelopment, electrification and upgraded passenger amenities, projecting these works as part of a broader development drive in Telangana. Officials say the Komuravelli station will strengthen last‑mile connectivity and contribute to the socio‑economic development of the area.

With the temple attracting large numbers of devotees, the new station is expected to reduce travel time, improve safety and make pilgrimage more convenient, especially during festive and peak seasons.
