Karimnagar Home Guard Saves Life Of Aged Man
Home guard V. Anjaneyulu rescued an 80-year-old man from drowning in Lower Manair Lake after he jumped into the water in an alleged suicide attempt. Senior police officials praised the home guard for his prompt action.

Karimnagar police outpost home guard V. Anjaneyulu saved an 80-year-old man Bommideni Komuraiah from drowning in the Lower Manair Lake.
Komuraiah had jumped into the waters of Lower Manair Dam on Tuesday in an attempt to commit suicide. Home guard Anjaneyulu, who had been on duty at the lake, rushed to the spot, dived in, and rescued Komuraiah.
Reserve sub-inspector B. Ramesh later summoned Komuraiah’s family members to the police station, counselled, and handed over the old man to them.
Senior officials have appreciated the home guard for acting promptly and saving the Komuraiah.
