ITC Mission Sunehra Kal and Sarapaka Gram Panchayat organised a cleanliness drive, tree plantation and awareness rally on Gandhi Jayanti.
ITC Mission Sunehra Kal (MSK), in collaboration with Sarapaka Gram Panchayat, organised a Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) programme at Satyasai Model School in Sarapaka, Bhadradri-Kothagudem district, on Friday to mark Gandhi Jayanti.
The programme brought together the sarpanch, ward members, community leaders, ITC officials and development partners for a cleanliness drive covering the school premises and surrounding areas.
The drive was followed by a “Maa Ke Naam Ek Ped” plantation programme, during which participants planted saplings to promote environmental protection and community participation.
An awareness rally was also held over a one-kilometre stretch from Satyasai Model School to Gandhinagar Centre in Sarapaka. Participants raised slogans and shared messages on cleanliness, responsible plastic use, environmental protection and maintaining clean surroundings.
ITC deputy general manager K. Chengal Rao and others attended the programme.
