Hyderabad To Host IRC Meet In Nov On Road Safety And Infra

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad will host the 85th session of the Indian Road Congress (IRC) from November 19 to 22, with over 3,000 delegates and road experts from India and abroad expected to participate. The four-day conference will discuss modern road construction technologies, safety and infrastructure development. Around 400 exhibition stalls will showcase innovations in the road sector.
The conference will bring together ministers, secretaries, IAS and IPS officers, engineers, academics and national and international road experts. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Union minister Nitin Gadkari are expected to attend the inaugural session.
Technical sessions and group discussions will cover road construction, safety and emerging technologies. IIT students, representatives of engineering colleges in Telangana and road sector experts will also be involved. Roads and buildings minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Friday reviewed preparations at the Secretariat and directed all departments to coordinate closely to ensure the event’s success.
The Chief Minister will host a dinner for delegates and experts on November 19. Discussions will continue on November 20 in Gadkari’s presence, with senior state government officials and department heads participating. The concluding session is scheduled for November 21, with Governor Shiv Prakash Shukla being invited.
